Gannett Blog is back, McClatchy Watch ends its run

Jim Hopkins is back posting at Gannett Blog while McClatchy Watch ended its run.

As was said in McClatchy Watch's last post, there is a definite demand for newspaper watchdog blogs.

It seems newspapers are more than willing to demand someone at city hall open the books.

However, a lot of publications aren't very eager to demand the same level of transparency of themselves.
